Food

Amorphous Silica is mixed with hydroscopic products like spices, seasoning, salts, dairy products, mouth fresheners, whey powder, cocoa and others to protect them from moisture and keep them free flowing.

While it improves the manufacturing process, it also gives a better consumer experience.

Amorphous Silica is mixed with various products before grinding to improve grinding performance & inhibit cake formation.

Amorphous Silica is used as an absorbent for flavoring agent acting like a microcapsule as well as bulking agent.

Food

Amorphous Silica acts as an absorbent to remove surface oil from food like namkeens, chips, fried products. Improves texture & shelf life.

As a de-foamer/stabilizer for foaming caused by proteins, nitrogenous materials & others which may interfere with processing.

Amorphous Silica is also recommended to be used in animal and poultry feed.

Oral Care

oral-care

Hydrated Amorphous Silica is used in toothpaste for as an abrasive agent and rheology modifier. Addition of Silica changes the viscosity of the toothpaste.

In toothpowder it is used to also act as an anticaking agent.

Choice of properties of Silica and dosing depends upon the choice of RDA (Relative Dentin Abrasivity) level and viscosity.

It is practically inert and compatible with active ingredients including Floride making it a first choice for the purpose.

COSMETICS

Amorphous Silica is inert, good absorption capacity, thixotropic behaviour and is compatible with active ingredients used in cosmetics.

It is used for rheology modification and viscosity control in shampoos, serums and other liquid formulations.

Hydrophilic Amorphous Silica is used in formulation where oiliness is desired to be reduced.
Hydrophobic Amorphous Silica is used in formulations where rheology modification is required without absorbing oil.

In creams it is also used to reduce oiliness in creams. It is also used as a scrubbing agent in creams.

Bio Silica is non-toxic, chemically inert, free from impurities, odourless gives the flexibility for use in various pharmaceutical formulations as a powerful aid. Bio Silica being derived from biomass brings and addition degree of freedom.

With high absorption capacity and low bulk density it is an ideal excipient, carrier & bulking agent in powders, tablets and capsules.

It is used as a free-flowing & anti caking agent in powders & granules. This not only improves the end product texture; it also helps in keeping the production line running smoothly without being clogged due to cake formation.

Improves dispersion of powders like ORS, protein powder, nutrition supplements recommended for dispersion in liquid before use.

Improves texture, weight uniformity, faster drying in coated tablets, capsules etc.

Improves mechanical stability in tablets.

DETERGENT & LAUNDRY

SILICATE

Sodium Silicates offers a fantastic combination of alkalinity & excellent buffering capacity for excellent removal of soils and fats. Their buffering capacity maintains the desired alkalinity to neutralize acidic soils, emulsify fats and oils and disperse or dissolve proteins.

In the production of spray-dried detergents, silicate solutions are easily added to the detergent slurry to control the viscosity for producing a powder of the desired density.

In washing bars Sodium Silicates serves as binder in detergents and in dishwash bars & tablets.

Hydrated Sodium Silicates are also used as phosphate free detergent builders.

Sodium Silicates also places a protective film on metallic surfaces (washing equipment, cookware) and ceramics (china) and protect these materials from attack by alkaline cleaners.

SILICA

Amorphous Silica is an inert material with good compatibility in detergent Powder formulations. It is used in detergent as the most reliable & economical way to Improve Flowability and Prevents Caking of Powders.

With high absorption capacity, it acts as a carrier for Perfumes and Liquid Enzymes to be releasedduring wash cycle.

TEXTILE

Silicates are used in Textile industry for operations such as cleaning, wool scouring, bleaching and dye fixation.

Silicate acts as an alkaline buffering agent to keep reactive dyes stable.

Silicates enables better bleaching by deactivating the catalytic influence of metals such as copper, iron and manganese. Peroxides normally degrade under the catalytic influence of such metals resulting into premature degradation or reactive oxygen resulting into lower bleaching performance.

Further silicates acts as a detergent removing grease and soil from textile.

TYRE

TYRE

The tyre market is evolving towards green tyres. Amorphous Silica has been at the heart of this transition with tyre makers relying on it to push the edges of the magic triangle,” to improve Fuel Efficiency, Wear Resistance and Traction.

With bio-silica we add another layer of green to the green tyres (so called for the improved fuel efficiency they bring in).

SILICONE RUBBER & SHOES

Amorphous Silica is an important functional additive black, non-black, colored, and translucent silicone rubber compounds impacting the following mechanical properties:
Excellent tensile-strength, tear-strength and flex-fatigue resistance
Improved reinforcing strength
Reduced crepe hardening
Outstanding compression-set resistance
Exceptional resistance to heat-aging
The above properties are also used for high-performance footwear formulators to produce beautifully colored or translucent non-marking soles with superior durability and resilience, along with improved compounding stiffness and modulus for enhanced flexibility and comfort.
